Implant-Supported & Snap-In Dentures

Dentures that stay put. Two to six implants anchor your smile so you can eat, laugh, and speak without a second thought.

Loose Dentures Aren’t Something You Have to Accept

Traditional dentures rest on the gums, so they drift, click, and slowly accelerate bone loss underneath. Implant-supported dentures anchor to titanium posts in your jaw instead. The difference is immediate: stability when you bite, confidence when you speak, and bone that stays stimulated and healthy.

There are two paths, and the right one depends on your goals, anatomy, and budget:

  • Snap-in overdentures — click onto 2–4 implants; removable at night for easy cleaning; the most affordable way to stabilize a denture
  • Fixed implant dentures — screwed onto 4–6 implants; stay in permanently and feel closest to natural teeth (see All-on-4)

Most long-time denture wearers can be upgraded, even with some bone loss — that’s exactly the problem implant-retained designs and modern grafting techniques were built to solve. A 3D scan shows us your available bone in minutes.

We’ll give you a side-by-side comparison of snap-in vs. fixed for your mouth: cost, care, feel, and timeline — then let you decide without pressure.

Questions Patients Ask Us

Does Medicare pay for implant-supported dentures?

Original Medicare generally does not cover dental services, including dentures and implants. Some Medicare Advantage plans include a dental allowance that can offset part of the cost. Our coordinators will help you check your specific plan and put financing options on the table.

What do implant-supported dentures cost?

Snap-in (removable) overdentures typically run $5,000–$15,000 per arch nationally; fixed implant dentures run $15,000–$30,000+. Your quote depends on the number of implants, materials, and any extractions or grafting — we itemize everything up front.

Do implant dentures cover the roof of your mouth?

No — that’s one of patients’ favorite differences. Because implants anchor the denture, the upper plate no longer needs a full palate, so food tastes better and speech feels more natural.

What can’t you eat with implant dentures?

Very hard items (ice, hard candy, nut shells) can chip any prosthetic, and very sticky candies can tug at a removable overdenture. Beyond that, most patients eat a dramatically wider diet than they could with suction-held dentures — including steak, apples, and corn cut from the cob.

How are they maintained?

Snap-in overdentures come out daily for cleaning. Fixed versions are brushed and flossed in place with water-flosser support. Research recommends professional maintenance about every 6 months, with the prosthesis professionally removed and inspected at least once a year.
