Sleep Apnea Oral Appliances

Custom-fitted mouthpieces for obstructive sleep apnea and CPAP-intolerant patients — coordinated with your physician.

The Dental Side of Better Sleep

Obstructive sleep apnea closes the airway as the jaw and tongue relax backward during sleep. A custom mandibular advancement appliance holds the lower jaw slightly forward, keeping the airway open — no mask, no hose, no machine on the nightstand.

We fabricate appliances from digital impressions for a precise, comfortable fit, and adjust them over follow-up visits until your sleep (and your partner’s) actually improves.

  • For diagnosed mild–moderate OSA and CPAP-intolerant patients
  • Custom-fitted from digital impressions — not a boil-and-bite
  • Snoring reduction as a welcome side effect
  • Coordinated with your sleep physician’s diagnosis

Questions Patients Ask Us

Can a dentist really treat sleep apnea?

For many patients with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea — or those who can’t tolerate CPAP — a custom oral appliance that repositions the lower jaw is a recognized treatment option. Diagnosis comes first, from a physician-ordered sleep study; we provide the appliance side of care in coordination with your doctor.

Is an oral appliance as good as CPAP?

CPAP remains the gold standard for severe apnea. Oral appliances win on comfort and compliance — the best treatment is the one you’ll actually use nightly. Your sleep physician’s diagnosis guides which is right; we’re candid about that.
